Yes...

Nearly identical to my setup, except that mine is about 100', off-center fed 
and it tunes 160-6m through my AH-4.

Des and all: Most amateur auto tuners these days have a matching capability 
of 3.5:1 or less. This can be over come in many instances by utilizing a 1:4 
balun or transformer to extend the range. One excellent antenna I would 
recommend that you could use for multiband operation with your AT-500, is a 
135 foot center fed antenna using open wire line or ladder line feeders. 
near the shack end, install a 1:4 balun, and then use a short run of 50 Ohm 
cable to pass through the wall etc to the tuner inside the shack. You will 
then have a very efficient multiband antenna system. Larry K4LXV.
