Hi Tom,
Thank you for your reply. No, this encoder is a lot
simpler device than what you are referring to. Its a
simple switching encoder, with a mechanical switching
arrangement. The PCB i was referring to earlier was
for the switching pattern on the contact plate to
which 3 armatures make contact for requireed phase
difference, to distinguish between directions.
One of these 3 armatures is damaged, and hence need
replaceemnt of the encoder.
I will try Icom..
