You might want to monitor your Power Supply voltage and see if it's dropping.

Mine did a similar  thing but I discovered that I had forgotten to turn on my Power Supply for a few days (I feed the rigs off a battery system using the Astron as a charger). The battery voltage got to a critical low level where RCV was fine and dandy, but XMIT was hosed.
