After Selling on Ebay for the past 5 years until health problems stopped me the main reason not shipping outside the Lower 48 is cost. Most items I was shipping it only cost 10-14 dollars to ship anyplace in the Lower 48. But when it comes to Alaska and Hawaii depending on the weight class and the package size that price sometimes tripled. If you are sending an item that costs say 35.00 and either you or the other person is paying 30.00 to ship it and the item turns up damaged then you are eating the cost to have it shipped back to you. so now your 60.00 in the hole.

Canada's Customs are a nightmare. Out of 20 items I shipped to Canada 16 of them customs had problems with for one reason or another. Its just not worth the time when after you have included all the necessary paperwork originally then they hold the package until you fill out another 2 pages of info and send that back to them..
