Just finished loading mine up via the rear speaker jack...  You are correct,
no option for programming via the Mic Jack that I know of.

Now, if my memory serves me correctly, the programming is done thru the
rear speaker jack.........not thru the mic jack as is done on commercial
land mobile radios.    Fern
