[ICOM] 756 Pro III Problem

On two occasions roughly one year apart, my 756ProII would shut down
completely and restart when I attempted to key the transmitter on CW or any
other mode.

I traced the problem to the black and red high current power leads that
screw onto a circuit board on the top side of the radio. The fix was
simple: Unscrew the bolt holding the red and the bolt holding the black
wires. Then screw them both back in.

A close visual inspection of the terminals for both wires showed no obvious
signs of corrosion. The solder that secures the hardware to the circuit
board shows no signs of cracking or any other physical problem.

Yet, unscrewing these leads and screwing them back in place solves the
problem usually for at least a year. I suspect the ProIII is laid out the
same way. Perhaps the most recently described problem is caused by similar
circumstances.
