[ICOM] PW-1

Harry,
I did a little more reading and at the RCA jack it does have an internal
breaker to shut down the circuit if the unit is drawing too much current.
So that may be the problem here.
I'll try the Band Data Din Plug this weekend. Right now I'm using a 12v
plug-in on my power strip which I just turn on separately.

Thanks for the tip.

Tony,

Despite the challenges I hope you're enjoying the PW-1.

Tony are you getting power from the Field 's13.8v jack or from one of the
pins on the Field's accessory jack (don't recall which jack or pin)? When I
connected my Field to the PW-1 about a year ago I recall the PW-1 requires
more current than the Field's 13.8v jack offered. Believe you need to tap
off one of the accessory jacks. I did that and it worked fine. The PW-1
manual states what current is required "power up" the PW-1 lamps, antenna
selectors, and bands. Wish I could help more, but (a) I sold the Field, and
(b) I sold the PW-1 to you know who.

Harry
