FW: [ICOM] new to icom

Hi Bob,

The FL-100 and FL-52A (500 Hz) would be my choice. 250 Hz is a bit narrow
for tuning around, and with the cascaded 500 Hz filters you can narrow the
passband by rotating the Twin PBT controls. I strongly recommend you install
both 9 MHz and 455 kHz filters, with comparable bandwidths, as otherwise
Twin PBT will be ineffective.

The Inrad 116 (455 kHz, 400 Hz BW) is a less costly alternative to the
FL-52A.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [ICOM] new to icom

this is my 1st try on this reflector. i am the new owner of an Icom 746[non
pro] it doesn't have the cw filters, and being a cw guy i want to add one.
i've looked at the fl 101 & fl 53a. any recommendations on which i should
get.
is there a differ. between the filter added to the 455 if vs. the 9 mhz if?

are there other filter options besides Icom?
