[ICOM] IC 775 DXII s-meter lamp flickering

Hello from Poland,

I've just purchased IC 775 DXII with high s/n 1600 (japaneese market), seems
that manufactured in 2002. The radio looks like new and I was told it
doesn't show the problems which were common for early version of 775 DSP,
unfortunately I noticed that the s-meter lamp flickers while transmiting on
CW, if the display brightness is adjusted to LOW.

Is there any mod to ged rid of this? It's quite irritating...

And BTW, did anyone ever tried to adjust the compresion gain level in 775?
I'm running SM20 desk mic and I find the compresion level too strong, even
with mic gain set to 10 o'clock. Below 10 o'clock the audio starts to
disapear, so that's not the solution. I missed the comp. level pot. which
were available on my old IC 736.
