Hi Tony,

The ALC pots are R1 and R2 on the JACK-1 board. One can order them from Icom
Parts (P/N 7310003820).

You will need the service manual to tackle repairs. The manual is
downloadable here:

http://www.qsl.net/icom/manuals.html

In the meantime, you can use the Exciter 2 position.

Cheers for now, 73,

Ouch,

I was installing a new exciter and was adjusting the ALC which is a little
difficult because of my remote location for the Linear. Unfortunately I
feel it is difficult to feel the adjusting screw move and of course the
plastic adjustment made a snap sound which meant I may have pushed a little
hard.

It is now on a bit of an angle and of course the ALC is spiking over the
recommended setting.

Is this a component that is accessible?? If so could I likely adjust it with
the damaged plastic adjustment?

Is this a component that can be replaced by me?

Any helpful advice will be appreciated.
