Hi Hans --
I don't have the problem with my 720A but I understand that
when the rotary switch keeps going and going (like the
Energizer bunny) that you can burnish the contacts and
clear that up.
There is also a modification on my web site to replace the
rotary switch (when it finally bites the dust) with multiple
relays. See:
