Hi Michael,

I wasn't going to pipe up this time, since I previously offered an
opinion on and support for the IC-910H.
However I feel that your other correspondent is a bit harsh on the
the rig. Let me say here that I have deleted his full text.
Let's see - 500W @ ~5 miles, - basic overload - how many dB
attenuation just to get back to a genuine 60/9 ?
Distance to second station 400 - 500 miles, - a multiplier of 80 - 100.
How many dB on the path for equal tx power ? It would IMHO need many
megawatt to produce equal sigs at the receiving antenna. Basic overload
times 2.
Frequency separation - 10 kHz ?
Did he use the pass band shift facility? the DSP facility?

I would recommend the high stability oscillator, and also both DSP units
since this radio is a genuine simultaneous dual receiver, unless of
course you deliberately switch off the sub band.

I would recommend dl'ing the operating manual and have a browse, once
you get hands on, you will need some serious study time to gain all the
features available.
