[ICOM] Icom 756PRO question

I am sorry to say that the newest HF radio I own is my trusty ICOM 781.
With the Timewave 599ZX, and the quite neighborhood, (and my company
contacts) I don't have any noise problems. And with our group moving to
1200 MHz and more satellite operating here, I am not thinking of trading up
any time soon.
You might want to hold on to the old radio until you test the new radio.
Is the noise a 24-7-365 thing, or only evenings/nights?
You might start a "Noise Log" in the hopes you discover a pattern. Time
heard - temp-humidity-wind, anything else you can think of. Some pattern
should eventually emerge.
