Gary and David both bring to our attention the tips of the PL/SO series.  I don't know how many I have seen that ... guys complain about similar items ... and lo and behold, the connector just is not seated.  Loosen half a turn and you can rotate the connector.  Should not be able to do that with just a half turn.

I think it behooves us to take another look at our own stuff, to make sure the connectors are in fact seated, and the tips are seated in the groove of mating side of the connector.

Something so simple, escapes us because .... we KNOW the connector is on correctly..!
