The "chimney mount" is on the fireplace chimney and
there has  NEVER  been a fire in the fireplace.

Furnace has its own small metal stack that is far
away from the "chimney."

The phrase "chimney mount" starts an alarm bell ringing.

I've never had any antenna, ham or TV last more than a
few years on a chimney mount as the furnace exhaust
corrodes the daylights out of them.
