[ICOM] Best filter for 706 SSB

I need better signal to noise on the my IC706 mkIIg.
75m is where I really need to lower the noise floor.

Which filter would be the best choice? I want to keep nice sounding audio though.

My puzzle is that it is my understanding that the "no-filter" bandpass of the 706 is ~2.4 kHz.
The FL-103 is a 2.8 kHz filter. Is that one going to offer ANY improvement?
The FL-223 is a 1.9 kHz filter. Does this filter close up the audio too much?
