[ICOM] Many Thanks for your Opinions

Wow, I certainly didn't expect so many replies to my request. Thank you so 
much to all those who took the time to reply either on the list or off. I 
appreciated every single piece of advice I got. As I mentioned, I would not 
be able to test our or even see any new radio I would eventually purchase so 
advice from real users is invaluable. I will continue to research both 
radios and possibly others (yup some non-Icom options too) on E.ham and will 
soon make a decision about what radio to purchase. As some have pointed out, 
it will likely be my last big radio purchase (my xyl just laughed, and hard 
too, when I tried that line on her HI HI and I didn't even bother trying the 
comparison to a bass boat or other expensive toy as I already own a Catalina 
22 sailboat) and I don't want to make a mistake!
