Sorry to disappoint you, but the LCD control and drive interfaces in the
Pro3 are non-standard and very complex. A look at the service manual will
confirm this. 

Also, Icom do not publish the protocols for the interfaces between the main
bus, the LCD Controller (IC3551, MAIN-A Board) and the LCD Interface
(IC1401, Display Board).
