I am a no code tech and I own a IC-756 PRO lll and use it all the time.
What this guy is stating is if you are not General Class or higher he does
not want to deal with you.
I went to a special party a year ago that was only for hams and their wives.
As I got to know hams which I thought were special guys and gals I told
them I was only a tech class and guess what?
They almost all gave me the so what, and what are you doing here.
It is almost like if you don't meet our standards or live by our old golden
rules get out we don't want you here.
I left the party after about 30 mins.
The ham who gave the part ask me why I leaving and I told him what was said
to me by several of the hams which I gave him all the their call signs.
Those that said it were no longer friends of his nor do they ever get
invited to any of this parties any more.
And some wonder why kids today won't get into ham radio.
It people like those that make one feel like who needs this crap.
I am getting my Gerneral Class and will get my Extra ticket.
As for code I will get that also only because it is challenge and maybe fun.
And the fact that I no longer need to have code makes it even easier.
