[ICOM] Problem with IC-2720

A couple of days ago while running mobile and in mid transmission my
IC-2720 went dead no lights no nothing. When I got home I checked the
radio and found a 20 amp fuse had blown. I replaced the fuse and the
radio came back to life or so I thought. The next time I was out mobile
I was getting reports of not being good copy into the repeater. When I
got back to the house I again made some checks and determined the was
little or no RF output even though the front panel bar graph indicated
full power out. Looks like the output power device is blown.

A friend mentioned that this is a well known problem with the 2720 and
that Icom has been replacing the device at no charge. Does anyone have
any knowledge of this?
