Jerry,
I have followed this thread and I am still not sure what you need to do. I
agree that modern rigs do not have a simple means having a standby mode. By
this I mean to mute the audio and ground the receiver antenna input. Most
of the solutions suggested so far have been to mute the audio. Is this what
you wanted or did you also want to ground the receiver antenna. This of
course allows the use of another transmitter in the shack without
overloading the front end of the receiver.
