You could bend some sheet metal of appropriate size
to serve as a mount your 706 remote mount bracket.
Paint the bracket to match your dash material and use
double stick to mount that to the dash.
I expected to keep my truck a long time so literally
bolted an adjustable bracket to the top of the dash.
I mounted the IC-2720H bracket directly to that
location and also added a ball mount for my GPS.
By the time I'm through with a vehicle, I'm not
going to be worried about some deduction on the
resale value. I bought the truck new in 99 and now
have 115,000 miles on it.
I buy my vehicles for MY use, not some "perhaps"
future owner.

What is everyone's recommendations for mounting my faceplate on my 706 ? I
need a mount that will not damage my dash. I am considering a suction mount
that attaches to the windshield or I could go with a Low Boy mount or Bug
mount that uses an adhesive to attach to the dash. Has anyone had any
experience with any of these or any recommendations ?
Thank you,
