[ICOM] ICOM 746 PRO circa 2004

Hi Ken,
The cause could be a sticking T/R relay. If you briefly key the transmitter
whilst the receiver sensitivity is poor, does the receiver recover
immediately upon unkeying?
Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] ICOM 746 PRO circa 2004
My 746 PRO is doing something funny and I can't figure out what I messed
with in the controls to make this occur.
After I transmit on SSB PTT, or CW on break-in mode, the receiver
sensitivity remains low for 5 to 10 seconds after transmitting until I can
once again hear my contact. Like I have inadvertantly entered some kind of
delay on the re-start of the receiver.
Any help would be most appreciated!
Does anyone else find the ICOM instructions to be completely
non-instructive???
Tnx,
Ken
