Hi Bob,

My gut feel (for whatever it is worth) is that there will not be a direct
successor to the IC-756Pro3. Any new mid-price Icom offering may well be
positioned somewhere between the 756Pro line and the 7800, and intended
compete with the VS/Yaesu FT-2000. It is likely to be somewhat higher-priced
than the 756Pro line.

Of course, the above is pure speculation on my part. Please keep an eye on
my Icom page...

I think you can go ahead and purchase a Pro3 with confidence.

Anyone have any information if and/or when a Pro 4 might become available?  

I have a Pro II (which I enjoy very very much) and would like the extra
features that are available in the PRO III but I can wait a little longer if
a PRO IV might be available soon.
