Good morning Larry,
Maybe you've already solved the problem. Do you have full output when using
120V? If not, I agree with David/N1EA, i.e. you're probably only using one
winding on the transformer. Next step would be to check that you really have
240V at the outlet. If you checked the strappings and the transformer
windings and that's OK, the problem is most likely not in the amp.

Take off the strap, then with a Ohm meter test the two sections of the
primary (which are in parallel when used on 120vac) - you might have one of
the windings open - which will reduce your power output on 120vac, and give
you ZERO voltage when using 240vac (the two sections are in series then).

Is anyone using an IC-2KL on 240v? I changed the transformer strapping in
mine to the configuration in the manual, plugged it in and....nothing.
(Yes, I double checked the strap position and my outlet wiring). No pilot
lights, nada. Switched it back to 120v and it works fine, except now I have
no pilot lamp on the PS. What's up? TIA.
