[ICOM] Installing a FL52A

Gary,

Those things are called "pin receptacles". The 756 has
pin receptacles on the PCB in the option 455 Khz
filter slot, as well as a snap clip to secure the body
of the filter. There are clearance holes drilled thru
the PCB so that the studs on the filter case will pass
thru the PCB.

If you remove the nuts and washers from the FL-52A, it
will snap into the filter clip and will be secured
nicely via the snap clip, without having to employ the
nuts and washers, as with the older rigs.

Keep in mind that the board is designed for snapping
in the option filter without removing the board,
although using only gentle pressure while installing
the filter is recommended.
