Ray;

I can imagine a definition of what F.G.M.B. stands for but it's not for publication. HI HI.
Actually i think that it stands for something like "miniture buss" fuse. It looks like an instrument fuse similiar to what is used in a multimeter only of larger capacity. I don't think that you really need to pack one. I have my IC-06MKIIG for several years and haven't even needed to replace one of the powerline fuses. Should the time come to replace one more will be needed to be done to your radio than just replace a fuse. Let the techs worry about it. I am sure that it is protecting something important and if it goes the repairs will most likely be beyond yours or my abililty to repair.

Question...

In the manual on Page 56 for the IC-706MIIG when replacing the
internal 4 amp fuse. The manual says to use a F.G.M.B. type fuse.
Does anyone know what Icom means by (F.G.M.B.) never heard
of it. The fuse has not blown, just want to pickup some spares.
