Hi Mike,

Well, I have not owned any amateur FM mobile or portable gear since 1988.
All my VHF and UHF radios are Icom PMR units, programmed on a few amateur
frequencies (yes, Geraldine, it's legal) such as our local club repeater. I
have the H16, U16, V100, U400, V200 and U200. The HT's have a -65 dB EIA
intermod spec, and the mobiles -70 dB. They all have multi-stage
varactor-tuned preselectors.

I can drive around the Vancouver city centre during a business day, and not
hear any intermod or cross-mod at all (even in carrier-squelch mode).

At present, I do not have a mobile radio installed in my vehicle. Maxie does
not care for the racket coming out of the speaker. <g>

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ
