[ICOM] FIXING PW1

Hi Max,

Have you checked the PW1 with the autotuner out? If all bands are working
with the ATU out, there is some damage in the ATU. If 80, 40 and 30m are
still "dead" with the ATU out, the corresponding low-pass filters or their
associated selection relays may be damaged. Under what conditions did the
failure occur?

You can download the PW1 service manual here:

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] FIXING PW1

Hello folks,
My PW1 need to be fixed again...

At present time I get no power at all on 80, 40 and 30 bands, while the unit
is fully operative on any other bands including 160.

The remote control prom the PROIII runs flatly and I've done a CPU reset
too.

I've not yet looked inside but I smell some smoke scent...

Any suggestion from the list?
