I have one and would not sell it for less than the cost to replace it.
I will admit that it does not have 500 memory locations, nor does it
have DC to Daylight recive, but it does what a ham radio is suposed to
do.....
My favorite part of the radio is the dual recive with dual s-meters. I
use in for t-hunting and find that I can "hunt" two boxes a the same
time! Provided they are on differnt freq. And as I recall it will do
crossband repeat.
The only weakness is the lettering on the keypad, it will quickly
vanish! I have heard of many tips to prolong the life of the
lettering, I would sugest to take a picture of the keypad and carry it
with you ;-) The good news is it has a built in help menu! if you
press the guide button then press a key the display will give you the
functions of that button. Way cool.
I did have to send mine in for repairs once, as I managed to bust the
antenna conector off. I don't think the BNC connector was designed to
support the weight of the radio ;-0....
