[ICOM] Icom 703 Discontinued??

I went to HRO Anaheim over the weekend and was told that the 703 is  
discontinued.  They didn't even have a display model.  I hope this is  not the case, 
as I want one for this summer.
 
As for the 706, I visited Icom Japan and was told to look for a new  
replacement at Dayton, presumably the IC-7000.  
 
Any info on the 703 is appreciated.
