[ICOM] Help with R-1

I have a R-1 s/n 39226 general coverage hand held receiver.

The radio is dead due to lack of use and lack  of battery charge

I tried to charge the battery but no luck. The radio don't come on 
during charge.

I found a 6 battery battery pack in the unit. P-03ER/F23GI.

Is this a standard battery?

Does this unit have a internal Li battery deep inside the radio. If yes, 
how difficult
is it to replace it. Is that a standard Li battery?
