You might try looking in the mic and see what color goes where in it, and
the using the pin out for the mic plug that is in the owners manual and wire
accordingly. Long way around maybe, but it should work.

Subject: [ICOM] Ic-706IIG HM--103 Microphone

My HM-103 microphone plug for the IC-706IIG had the hasp broken off. I went
to Radio Shack and got another plug but when I tried to get the color code
for the plug I ended up destroying the original. You would think that after
60 years of hamming I would be able to do a better job than I am doing.

Anyway, I cannot find the color code for the RJ-45 plug. The microphone has
a
red wire but I see no red wire in the old plug. Also there are two shield
connections (red and gold) but I cannot find where they go in the old plug.
In the owners manual there are no color codes given at all, that I can find.

Can someone help me find where the colors go in the RJ-45 plug. I sure
need your help and I would appreciate it. I used to do a much better job of
fixing things but I am afraid those days are gone forever.

Thank you for your help...
