In preparation for the ARRL Frequency Measuring Test
a few months ago here is how my 706MkIIG compared
with WWV.

            20 MHz + 50 Hz
            15 MHz + 35.5 Hz
            10 MHz + 25 Hz
             5 MHz + 12.5 Hz
           2.5 Mhz + 6.25 Hz

So the error is linear with frequency. It was easier
for me to include the error in my frequency calculations
than it was to adjust the 706 to a Zero. Anyway, according
to ARRL I came within .02 Hz of their RF signal. This
was on 75 meters because that's all I could hear in
South Central Pennsylvania.

It shouldn't take much to zero your 706 with WWV, and then
check it every now and then.

Trivia: If time stood still, would anyone notice it?
