Looking at the ALS-600 manual, available at
http://www.ameritron.com/man/pdf/ALS-600.pdf, you'll see that the
"RELAY" line is rated at 12VDC at 100ma. The relay in the PROII is
rated at 200ma (.2A), so it ought to be OK.

I've had the relay in my rig fail for no good reason, though. If I
were running an amp currently, I'd replace the relay in the rig with a
solid-state relay, and I may still do that. I'd use a NEC/CEL
PS710B-1A-A, which really is rated at 2500ma.

But, the direct connection should work.

Dan - My PRO II manual says the relay can handle 16V @ 2 amps. I
saw a lot of stuff on the web indicating that was a misprint, and
the specs were much lower. Take a look here:
http://www.qsl.net/icom/auxrelay.html There is apparently a lot of
confusion about the relay in the PRO line. I use a buffer. It's
   cheap insurance.
