[ICOM] Ic-781 problem

My IC-781 is dead on about the last 4 kc's of each band..There is something like this described on the Icom repair page..

I haven't really read all the available articles but wonder if anyone has had the same problem and can save me some time and effort in fixing the problem ??


The name is different but it's something about adjusting the phase lock loop ??


I am gonna start on this problem next week and any help would be greatly appreciated...special test equipment needed ??
