I always appreciated getting you on the phone.  Always knew I was going to
get good info.  It just isn't the same anymore.  Of course the best was that
time in Iraq (gulf war-I) when the MARS 735 quit and you-guys got us back on
the air in just days.  I wonder if that QSL card from Iraq is still at ICOM
or if Mitch took it with him when he left?

What can I say?  It makes sense to me, if you don't want the radio reset to
0.00 MHz, don't read it out of the memory channel.

Texas is so big - Houston (680 miles east)  is farther than San Diego (620
miles west) from my house in El Paso.  Even our dogs are bigger - we have
Texas Chihuahuas.  To the rest of the country, that is a Great Dane.  If you
are ever driving through, drop in for a visit.  Got a guest house out back
for old army friends, dog show friends, hams, relatives and other visitors.
Good place to rest on a long drive.
