[ICOM] Icom 706 MK IIG distortion

Almost all of the 706's I hear on the air are in mobile installations. If
the engine is not running (stopped for transmitting) they will invariably
FM. That is a voltage problem. Don't think Icom has any plans to change as
long as this radio has been on the market.
I have a 706MKIIG in my pickup and have not had the FMing problem because I
never kill the engine when stopped for transmitting. Never heard any
problem with the tx audio. No problem related to the remote cable.
This is my experience, yours may vary.
