Hi Gary:
You have been very helpful in figuring out what to adjust, my problem now is that I don't have a signal generator to tackle the adjustment. I do have a low priced digital vom, can the adjustment be made using that by measuring the voltage at W64? I am looking at minimum $125 and a few weeks downtime to send the radio away and have it serviced, what are the odds of successfully tweaking L23 without having the signal generator?

Warren,
I found the adjustment Its called the Center Meter Adjustment. on page 6-10
of the 275H service manual. The voltage must be exactly 3 VDC.
You set the signal generator to 145.000 MHz exactly and turn the 275H
there. Then adjust L23 on the main until you read 3 VDC on W64.
The problem is the 275H does not know its on center frequency when you are
scanning.
I was able to download the service manual from Mods_dk it about 28
megabytes in size y\so you will need a fast connection also it is a zipped
PDF file.
I am confident doing this adjustment will fix the trouble.
