[ICOM] Using CW filters on SSB

In the MKIIG, is it possible to use the FL232 CW
filter on SSB for AFSK RTTY and on CW?  It appears
that if you tell the software that it is the FL223
(the SSB filter) you can choose it in both the CW and
SSB positions in the narrow position, but wanted to
make sure this is true.

Also, how does the 706 do as a RTTY and digital modes
radio?
