.....I can tell you that I used the RT-11 autotuner from LDG with a 30 feet
aluminum pipe with a few radials and worked from Korea to Argentina from
4Zulu land. That unit has the advantage of being fully automatic and
requires no control cable from the radio so it can be used with anything.
All you need is cut off the 12 volt line momentarily to initiate a tuning
cycle if you want to. Otherwise it tunes every time the SWR reaches the 3:1
mark. Besides, it's rated to 150 watts and it handles it!!
