Julio,

You mentioned USB to serial adaptors in ur last email. I have tried a few
different types for my 706 MKII and cannot get them to work. Running Win XP
SP2.

What type / make of USB to serial adaptors do you guys use / recommend??

Subject: [ICOM] CI-V adaptor

Today I was able get my soldering iron heated up and make an adaptor for a
mono 1/8" jack to a stereo 1/8" plug. I was able to confirm that I can
program my IC-2720 with it. This of course saves buying another CI-V cable
for the 2720.

The really neat part of it was I was using a W1GEE CI-V cable with a DB9
connector through a USB to serial adaptor and it all worked as it should.
