[ICOM] Icom 706MK2 and Antenna Keying Problem

A while back, there was a number of postings about an 102 in whip into a
706 in a mobile setup. I have the following setup on my motorhome
(stationary) . 706 into an SGC239 , coax fed to a Hustler mo2 mast with a
RS 102 whip attached. The antenna works great on the bands until I get to
20 cw (found out last night in the contest). Then the transmitter goes to
solid carrier although the program shows the call/etc being send. I moved
cables etc checking for rfi. I happened to connect it to a new 240ft long
wire I just put up for the 160m test next weekend. The 20m cw works great
on this antenna. Has anybody else experienced this? I would check for
shorts; but it 
works great on the other bands. Very confusing. Any ideas, guys?
