[ICOM] RE: IC-706 MKII and CI-V Cable

Hi David -

The first thing you need is the command set. Actually having the rig in 
question would be nice. While ICOM rigs share some commands, there are a 
ton they don't.
I just got the command set for the 706, and it's very sparse. There is 
no command (at least documented) to set offsets or tones. Or to read a 
memory, but there is one to write. I don't have a 706, so it's tough to 
work out just what is or is not possible. One of the list members 
supplied me with the  command set, and has very kindly agreed to do some 
testing, but I can't expect him to devote a huge chunk of time to it. I 
didn't plan to do anything with HTs, but I'll consider it if I can get 
the commands, and someone to test.
ICClone was concieved for the 706IIG, and I'm trying to retrofit it.
Patience will pay off I'm sure.
