[ICOM] More thinking going on.

I think the Radio Shack adapter plug already has the wiring you need. I 
have a similar cable (for a Yaesu radio, but it looks like all these 
converter cables are the same - my Yaesu cable works fine on my ICOM 
radio), and I got my adapter plug at RS. Verify the wiring with a meter 
when you get it all ready to plug up.

I use this cable+plug regularly instead of the ICOM CT-17 for quite a while 
now. I wrote this up a few years ago  - don't know if it is in the archives 
still. Gave a reference there about just which model cable/plug  and where 
to get all, I think.
