Hi,

That would be 4.7K.  If it were 4R7 it would be 4.7 Ohms.  This is rather 
common on the international scene now days.

I have found a schematic that I think I have all the parts
for.

The only problem is:
There are three resistors included in the schematic that I
am not familiar with the designator for as it is being
used by the designer.

"4k7"

Is what is written next to the resistors.

Is this
4.7 K ohms
4.7 Ohms
Or 4K and the 7 is a typo?
