[ICOM] IC-706mkII face latch

Thank you for the quick reply!

I will see if I can get Icom (US) to send a replacement next week. The
spring must have gone flying off into the ether. Neither myself or my
wife have been able to find it even using a bright light and some
patience. I did shake the front panel unit to see if there was a spring
to short out circuits at random but heard nothing loose.

I keep a collection of springs but if Icom has the catch they may have
the spring at less then a fortune.

Sincerely,
Pat

Shake the front panel vigorously to see if the spring has come loose and floating around inside the electonics. If you hear a rattle - dig deeper until you find it. If it is gone - you can do some smarts with an old ballpoint pen spring but its diameter will be bigger. Just as easy to buy some springs just in case.
