Adam,
Of course you are correct.  I was going to update my comments from 
yesterday.   This morning I realized when I was having some problems with 
interfacing the 746 Pro I did switch it from 1 & 2  to 1 only. To say I 
forgot is no excuse.  We have the 940S working properly.  I did read the 
manual where when in position 1 it turns the 13.8v as an output in accessory 
2.  Logical that I blew the fuse in the 746 pro.

I need to check if that damaged the supply I put in the #2 din connector 
since the antenna feature didn't work this morning.  I suppose I will check 
out the MicroHam unit as well.  Thanks for the assistance.
