I own a CN-801S (900MHz-2.5GHz).  I love the BIG cross needle display.
After troubleshooting and repairing some antennas during a contest in the
dark, I jumped back in the car and drove off.  About a block later I heard
some crashing as by Diawa rolled off the back of the car onto the road going
about 30MPH.  I picked up my nice meter and it made some bad rattling
sounds.  I put it in the trunk of the car without looking at it.  I really
didn't want to know what happened to it.  A couple weeks after the contest I
pulled it back out and opened it up.  After pounding out the metal top a
bit, I was able to remount the meter in the front and it's been fine.  Most
people don't even notice the scratches on the top.  I could be they already
know the story and are too polite to bring it up.
