I own a CN-801S (900MHz-2.5GHz). I love the BIG cross needle display.
After troubleshooting and repairing some antennas during a contest in the
dark, I jumped back in the car and drove off. About a block later I heard
some crashing as by Diawa rolled off the back of the car onto the road going
about 30MPH. I picked up my nice meter and it made some bad rattling
sounds. I put it in the trunk of the car without looking at it. I really
didn't want to know what happened to it. A couple weeks after the contest I
pulled it back out and opened it up. After pounding out the metal top a
bit, I was able to remount the meter in the front and it's been fine. Most
people don't even notice the scratches on the top. I could be they already
know the story and are too polite to bring it up.
