[ICOM] pw-1 question

Steve,
I too have a PW-1 driven by a 781. I recall an operational note either from the PW-1 manual or one of the many Icom tech notes that stressed that the 781 must be turned on FIRST then the amp otherwise, they say CI-V communications between the two cound fail. This may not have any relation to your current problem however, like the others who have responded I just push TUNE on the amp and away it goes except, I turn on my 781 first.
